Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making this website usable for everyone.
Last updated: June 18, 2026
W.M. Blain Well Drilling & Pump, Inc. is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This statement explains the standards we follow, the tools we provide, and how to reach us if you run into a barrier.
1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
We believe everyone should be able to find information about water wells, pumps, and pressure tanks — and reach us — easily and independently. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time project, and we work to remove barriers as we find them.
2. Accessibility Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. These guidelines cover making content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users.
3. ADAWebPro Accessibility Partnership
Our website's accessibility is supported by ADAWebPro, which provides an assistive accessibility toolbar and ongoing monitoring. The toolbar lets visitors tailor the site to their needs without installing any software.
4. Accessibility Widget Features
4.1 Visual Adjustments
Increase or decrease text size, adjust contrast (including dark and high-contrast modes), change colors and saturation, and enlarge the cursor.
4.2 Reading Aids
A readable-font mode, line-height and letter-spacing controls, text alignment options, and a reading guide/mask to help focus on one line at a time.
4.3 Navigation Aids
Highlight links, show a sitemap-style overview, and surface page structure so the site is easier to move through.
4.4 Motor Aids
Larger click targets and keyboard-friendly navigation for visitors who don't use a mouse.
4.5 Cognitive Aids
Options that reduce distractions, pause animations, and simplify the reading experience.
5. How to Use the Widget
5.1 Opening the Widget
Look for the accessibility icon, usually at the bottom-left of every page. Select it to open the toolbar, then choose the adjustments you need.
5.2 Saving Preferences
Your selections are remembered as you move through the site during your visit.
5.3 Resetting
The toolbar includes a reset option to return the page to its default appearance, and it can be hidden if you prefer not to use it.
6. Keyboard Shortcuts
The site is navigable by keyboard. Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between links, form fields, and buttons; Enter or Space to activate them; and your browser's find function to locate text.
7. Site-Wide Accessibility Features
- Clear heading structure and meaningful page titles;
- Text alternatives for meaningful images;
- Sufficient color contrast and resizable text;
- Labeled, keyboard-accessible forms;
- A visible focus indicator for keyboard users.
8. Compatibility
Web Browsers
The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Screen Readers
We aim for compatibility with common screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Other Assistive Technologies
The site is built to work with keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers, and speech-input tools.
9. Known Issues
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible — for example, certain third-party maps or embedded content. We are actively identifying and fixing these issues and welcome reports that help us prioritize.
10. Ongoing Accessibility Effort
We review new content and features with accessibility in mind and make improvements over time. Accessibility is part of how we maintain this site, not an afterthought.
11. Third-Party Content
Some features rely on third-party services that we do not fully control. Where a third-party component falls short of our standards, we work with the provider or seek an accessible alternative.
12. Alternate Formats
If you need information from this website in a different format — for example, read aloud or sent by another method — contact us and we will provide it.
13. Feedback & Contact
If you have trouble accessing any part of our website, or you have suggestions, we want to hear from you and we'll help directly:
