W.M. Blain has drilled Northern Nevada's wells since 1958 — founded by Bill Blain and his wife Wanda — Nevada’s first licensed woman well driller — and owned and operated today by their family, with Tom Benedict running the shop. The same name, the same standards, for over sixty years.
That continuity is the whole point. We don't pass the hard work to subcontractors. The crew on your property has decades of Nevada drilling between them, and they're the same people who'll come back to service your pump years later. Tom still answers the phone.

The Beginning
Bill Blain earns his Nevada well-driller's license after years drilling in California — and starts W.M. Blain Well Drilling.
1978
A Woman Driller
Wanda Blain earns her own well-driller's license — almost unheard of for a woman in the 1970s. She helped teach the trade to the next generation.
